Turned out great Bill. Looks like it might be the LS release of the kit rather than the Arii however. The LS version has the nice wheels/tires and the white metal carbs and intake trumpets. Like the hold down straps as well.

I've often wondered about the quality of ARII kits. I'd like your opinion, please. Your build is beautifully done.

Bill, I'm really impressed with your build. I can't honestly recall the last time I saw a Chaparral 2-C, or for that matter any Chaparral other then the Fisher resin curbside kit.
What exactly do you mean about your photos being to large? are you posting them directly, or using a hosting service?

Bill, I'm really impressed with your build. I can't honestly recall the last time I saw a Chaparral 2-C, or for that matter any Chaparral other then the Fisher resin curbside kit. What exactly do you mean about your photos being to large? are you posting them directly, or using a hosting service? Joel Joel I'm horrible at photos. I tried and tried the other night to take interior photos of the Rain-X and I just cannot get it right its usually too many pixels to put up in here. I got a couple nice ones looking in at the interior of the Camaro from the hood... jut too big. Bill it's the resolution of each image that's the issue. Most ISPs still have a max upload resolution so if you exceed it, your files just never go anywhere. To handle that issue: 1-you can reduce the resolution that your camera senor takes of the images 2-you can decrease the resolution of the JPEG files with a editing program. I'm assuming that you're running a version of Windows. There is a picture editing program associated with each version that lets you edit, including reducing the resolution. 3-Use a 3rd party editing program. I've use PIXresizer (latest version) since Windows 98. It's super easy to use. 4- I reduce all my images to 1280 x 1024 max. Then upload them to my Image Shack account. Image Shack also will let you adjust the resolution of your upload and download files if you want. The key on most sites is that the resolution is small enough so that you don't need sliders to see the full image. Most sites now auto reduce as needed, but don't increase. Joel

Thanks Gary! In a few more weeks I SHOULD have photos of the Fisher 2F I am just waiting for the paint, so I can polish this one out. I embellished it also BUT all things in the cab AGAIN Bill, I'm really looking forward to seeing how your Fisher 2F. I've had my eye on a few of his kits, but at $135 ea. I'm still on really shaky ground. Building to me is as important as collecting. And since retirement last Jan, the head of household Finances has been watching my spending like a Hawk Joel

Bill, Sorry to hear about your medical issues.
I'm right there with you buddy. 25 years ago I had a massive heart attack, died in the ambulance with no heart beat. I was lucky as I had the attack while in the ambulance so I was already on Oxygen. Spent 6 weeks in the hospital but I made it. I had Chicken Pox when I was really young, so naturally I got Shingles. Oh my God, I wanted to kill myself. Took the 1st Shingle shot that turned out to be worthless. Took the new vaccine 1st shot last month, and have 5 months to go for the 2nd shot. Damn things are super expensive. Had the big C twice, once when I was 7, and about 7 or 8 years ago while being prepped for another Colonoscopy the nurse saw what I thought was mole on my forehead that just grew. After the procedure and recovery I was sent to Dermatology for a Biopsy. Turns out it was cancerous, but not malignant as yet. So 2 weeks later surgery to remove it.
So I feel like I'm on borrowed time. Just hope that the time bank stays open for me a lot longer.
Joel
