I bought this amazing body from a chap Down Under. I saw the car at Laguna's CanAm (the photo was at Riverside) and loved its squarish lines... the body is accurate as I've been able to determine... I'll use an old IMC Ford GT40 monocoque chassis for ease of constriction... I am going to bash a Repco 4-cam engine out of spares and the 4-cam Ford. The body came with the interior and wheel inserts which helps a lot. I wish someone would cast the MPC Hewland trans as there many projects that need this type of unit...hint, hint!! More to follow... Patrick

Hey is that the same trans as in the MPC Ford Mk IV ? Cause the Hardcastle and McCormickCoyote is the MPC Mk IV with only the body above the tub being different.. found some of them very in-expensive around the web... Chris Ps... You Dawg I really love the Matich resin body , How do You do It? I saw it run at Riverside..

;)You use what you have! Yes the Hardcastle Coyote is a good source of parts. Maybe someday I'll finish my MK4!

;)Well, I changed the chassis tub from the junk IMC GT40 to the MPC Hardcastle chassis and it fits better... the engine is a hybrid of cut down Lambo engine heads and a GT40 block... I'm going to cut off the transaxel and replace it with a ZF type unit...that's next! Patrick

I had to make a single cam Repco engine so I used a Gurney Ford block, added some heads from ?, and cam covers from a Contach. Ta-Da a single cam Repco! On with the work. Patrick

Put together the single cam Repco looks fine... I repaired the poor cut in the tub and repositioned the seat... The dash came from the "Howmet CanAm" and nearly fit perfectly! Patrick

Great stuff!
Like Chris, I saw the car run at Riverside. It was a handsome and well built car.

Here we go again...the Matich is being readied for the NNL SoCal...I've added some chassis tubes and stuff... I liked the single cam Repco so much I decided to save it for a F1 Brabham project and used a parts box bash using the IMC ford 4-cam engine for a starter and added the fuel injection systen and some cut down Chevy headers... I starting the slow process of trimming the windscreen...just a little bit at a time.

Hi Neils, No. No decals with the body, but I did get some from Patto's. Not super happy with his decals, but it's what I have. Going to pick up this project again soon.

Well, some progress on this sleeping gem. I received some decals from Patto's and they are like sandpaper, but they are the only ones in the world! So, now it's all about adjustments, modifications, and touch ups . [/font]
