Body cleanup is tedious but necessary work.

Body cleanup is tedious but necessary work. Especially with these old Monogram kits, I hate when you see the front and rear joins, it just makes it look like a model.

I sure like that color of blue. You sure laid that paint down smooth. Good job Shane

Shane, I'll be pulling up my rock'n chair and following right along. Mark Martin was my 1st "favorite" when I got back into Nascar racing driving this very car. Nice effort cleaning up the body and bringing it up to current specs. Love how you got the rattle can paint to look that good.
Looking forward to seeing the decals put on the body. Whose decals are you going to be using?

I think that is one of the best Nascar liveries ever.

Shayne, Excellent job of decaling for sure. My only concern is your decision not to seal the decals. I've been modeling (military till recently) since the early 70s, and I've seen my share of decals where the clear film had yellowed both from direct sunlight, and/or not sealing the decals. I would give a clear coating a little more thought for the long haul.

Shayne, The chassis, especially the bottom really looks quite good with your excellent paint detailing. Turning the chassis right side up, the engine painting really pops out that air cleaner.
Looking forward to your next update.
