Regarding the Scale Motorsport Flying Lizards decals and the Fujimi Porsche 911 GTR3, isn't the kit a road version which would require conversion to race version? I'm not interested in a big conversions. www.scalemotorsport.com/merchant2/

The kit is a GT3RS which is a race version on some of the FIA circuits. However, the Flying Lizard car is a GT3RSR. It would require modifying the front nose by adding the huge lower opening, changine the turn lights, and air exits just in front of each front wheel, a slight modification to the lower rocker as the wheel openings are slightly different, vents slats would have to be added to the hood, and finally depending on which version the rear bumper needs a bit of modification as the air inlet and tail lights changed slightly from 2010 to 2011. The wheels are different than the kit verison as well. All together, though you can buy the ScaleAuto body set or get a conversion such as the one here... www.dnracing.it/transkit/index.asp The cars are simply beautiful and worth the extra effort if you do like them like I do. There was a rumor at one time that Matthew was going to offer a resin transkit for the body, too, but I haven't heard any further. Nic

Another simpler suggestion, is to purchase the Scale Autosports 1/24 th scale slot body kit. I have gotten two of these, one to build the Flying Lizards car, the other the Falken car. The body kit is quite extensive. I uploaded photos to the GPMA page last year, and should still be in archive. The kit runs just under 40 bucks. Also note, you'll have to get replacement wheels, as the Fujimi supplied ones are incorrect. Again the aftermarket comes to the rescue. On Ebay, you'll find a set of rims, and hubs available in resin from a Korean caster. About 25 bucks shipped if I remember. Search Porsche GT3SRS in 1/24th sportscar and you should find them. They also are VERY nice, and seem to be done from a 3D process.
