Ismael, By blotchy, are you referring to Orange Peel, or something else? I can't see any color differences in the paint.

No. By blotchy I mean it looks inconsistent lighter/darker. I think the paint is somewhat translucent and it is not getting down consistently creating thicker and thinner coverage. Can not be seen in the picture. Imagine a candy color over different colors if you will, but not as dramatic.
Thanks, Ismael

Thanks, Ismael Ismael, I would think that a few additional coats would have solved that issue. Joel

Hello,
No pictures today but I did a color sanding with 4000 and the next coat looks far better and promising. I'll let it dry and carefully inspect before deciding if next step should be more color or clear.
Thanks, Ismael

You amaze me Ismael with your pursuit of perfection, always have, and you always win.

Ismael, I'm really looking forward to seeing your final color finish, then with a clearcoat. As Gramps46 said, your pursuit of Perfection just continues to drive your builds a notch or two past your last build.
I've been thinking about the Tamiya kit vs the Revell kit. Huge difference in price but from what I've seen, it's top flight Tamiya quality.

Thanks guys! First coat of clear (of this round) applied. More to come later but I'm heading out of town for the holidays. My sister is a Doctor. We have a joke that I tell her "Hey Doc, it hurts when I do this..." and I do a silly twitch or something. She replies "if it hurts when you do that.... then.... hmmmm DON'T DO THAT!" To that analogy, if I put this body under strong direct fluorescent light, you can still notice some of the blotches underneath, but hardly noticeable in any other light. So, note to myself "DON"T PUT IT UNDER STRONG DIRECT FLUORESCENT LIGHT YOU IDIOT!" Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, The body looks great in the photos, but up close and personal is something else. Believe me, I know that only to well.
Enjoy your holiday with family. And thanks for sharing your famous Henny Youngman line.
You must have jinxed me, and I'm having some decal issues myself on the BT18. Sure looks like all the gremlins are now coming out of the closet.

Ismael, Looking real good. Any more shine, and you'll need to put up a Warning that we need eye protection before viewing. Joel

Hello, Not much bench time this week. Busy to the neck with work and family. Here are the shoes. Added home made Brembo logos, valve stems and center caps out of carbon fiber decal. The brakes were sawed off the chassis parts so I can control the stance later. Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, Once again your added details to the "shoes" really make some difference.

Hello, Thanks Bill! The unique headlights are a prominent feature of this car. Revell's interpretation is as simple as it gets as you can see here. All one piece with the interior tub. I noticed this on the real car: So I did 2 of these: and glued in place. A very little thing but it helps. Thanks, Ismael
