Ben, Looking great. Your decaling effort has surely needed quite a bit of time and focus, as there doesn't seem to be any places left on the body for more sponsor decals.
I'd love to see your homemade seatbelts and buckles, as I really need an alternative to constantly buying them for every build.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! The decals were a lot of fun on this one.
I meant to take some pics of the seat belts, but I got a little carried away with putting it all together and forgot. They’re more of an approximation than anything. I use painted medical tape and then cut the shapes of the hardware from styrene strip, because it’s easier than using a cut up aluminum can. I glue the ends of the belts to the hardware so it looks like the belt is disappearing into a slot. I use a punch to make the cam lock part. The belt logos are from the extras provided on the Indycals seat belt decals. The belts won’t stand up to close scrutiny, but it looks fine from a couple of feet away. I’ll try to remember to take pics when I start my F1 GTR build.

Ben Ben, I'm right there with you about not only forgetting to take build pictures as I'm actually building, but even when I do, half the time it's just to much of a pain to pull out my Nikon D7500 and either my 105 Macro or 18-70 lens as the body is kept in my main camera bag without an attached lens. Maybe I should use a smaller bag and keep it on the ready ( now why didn't I think of that sooner). For work grab shots, the pop up flash and OTT light should be fine. I bought a roll of the medical tape but still haven't ordered the PE hardware. Never thought of making my own. Really would be interested in seeing how you go about it. Joel

Check out Ismael's thread in the tips & techniques section. We both seem to have arrived at similar solutions. I also use a Waldron punch set to punch out the round latch parts of the hardware.

Ben Ben, Now that you mentioned Ismael post, I do remember him writing about it. I'll just have to find it, and copy the info, as I haven't even thought about what I'm going to use for the Lola T-160. Joel
