The steering wheel and badges bring to mind the anecdote of the guy who brought a model car battery to a show. Fine work!

Chris,
Outstanding work as usual.
I've never heard of using Glosscoat to hold PE in place before. I'm assuming that it holds parts just like Pledge/Future does.

Joel Yes, it works great, CA can cause Fogging on the paint around the PE item, and if you have already clear coated the car it will make a great bond .. I dont use Future, just goes back to that Model and Automotive products only on Model cars thing... Chris

The 64 is up on wheels!! although some adjustment on the rears needs to be done and a repaint on the wheels has to be done.Note the racing door handles with key trim and the turn signals are MV lens with photoetch Wizard O's for trim rings. The F.I. 283 came out very nice, just a bit more underhood work is needed. I have started the window trim with Molotow pens and its OK. I have to finish the interior, make a roll bar and some trim pieces and it will be Done. Oh and Decals.. LoL Chris

Chris, Looking real good. I've never had the nerve to try a Molotow pen for trim work yet. I've had issues with excess ink the few times I've tried one.

I had the same problem so I grabbed a size 0 brush and soaked up the paint from the tip then applied it with the brush. I had plenty of Alcohol wipes available to clean up mistakes or even remove it and start over in a few places....I thought model building wasn't suppose to be stressful ? Lol Chris

Chris, I'm using a different brand and it sure smells like enamel base. Since you're using Alcohol wipes, I'm assuming that the Molotow markers are Acrylic based?

Chris, I'll have to take a closer look at what the Big Box art stores here carry. After all, who knows what I'll find. I've already found You Tube videos on craft items for detailing that I never gave a 2nd thought to. Joel

Do you have a Hobby Lobby near by? I used the 40% off coupon I got off the internet and picked it up for $7.19 .. They had a Great Sale, Display cases $2.49 marked down from $9.99 and a ton of $29.99 kits for $7.49 !! I think they offer some of those prices on line, definitely the 40 % off any item works on line too... Chris

Chris, I've got two Hobby Lobby's about 45 to an hour from me, but I really need to print out a few of those 40% coupons and take a drive. If nothing else, I can really use more display cases.

Yesterday I did so much work on the 64 Corvette, added all the rest of the P/E emblems, broke the rear axle stub, fixed it then promptly broke the front stub and upper mount...aaaarrrrggggggg Fixed it, the worked on the interior added the 3 point roll bar, shifter, installed the windshield, and then followed up by adding the tailights almost got the engine mounted and the drive shaft in, but then I was beat and took a nap!! Today I am doing the engine to exhaust pipes and rear exhaust tips then if I get around to it the rear window, which I need to cut down..long story but it will fit better. last but not least will be radiator and hose and a fire extinguisher and decals then it may be done....Chris

Chris, Wow!! You really made a lot of progress. I just looked at your rear window, and I can't see any issues with it, so what's the problem? Joel
