Another beauty. Those big Jags must have been something to see competing in-person.

I'd had no idea that people were racing these. Love your choice of subjects, and your execution of their models.

Cool! The CitiBank livery is one I'd hadn't seen before. Great work.

I do remember Bob Tullius of Group 44 drive a Jag sedan to a SCCA National Championship.

I do remember Bob Tullius of Group 44 drive a Jag sedan to a SCCA National Championship. joel Thanks again guys.
Bob Tullius co-drove with John Goss at Bathurst in 1982. This was the same car that would eventually become the Citibank car but in 1982 it was run under our Group C touring car rules. They Quallified 14th but DNF'd with suspension failure.
Goss was also supposed to drive with Tom Walkinshaw in 1984 but a huge start line crash put them out before they even left the grid.
I would love to build the 1984 version but I don't think I ever will.

Shawn, The rear tires on the Wang car look so out of proportion, killing the overall look of the car.

They are 19's on the rear, I think they look oversized. One thing that I've noticed after building these Jags and placing them with my other models is that the XJS Jag isn't as big as they are perceived to be. After many years of hearing commentators and journalists refer to them as 'The big cat/Jag' they aren't that big at all and that's probably what makes those big rear wheels look out of proportion.

Three really nice looking models and the engine detailing is excellent. This is one of the most magnificent engine upgrades I have ever seen. I wish I knew where you had gotten all of the parts and there was a write up of how it was done in detail. Great great job!!!

Thanks Bob.
There was a bit of scratch building ( oil cooler, brake booster tanks and throttle actuator) and some modifying of the original kit parts. The only aftermarket parts are Detail Master braided hose and A/N fittings and Photo etch carb linkages as well as KA Models radiator mesh and some random wire from my stash for various uses on the engine.
Thanks for your comments Cheers ShawnS
