Bill, sure sounds like you made some nice progress. Looking forward to your pics. I just might have to give that T235 a try. I'm assuming it's used as a rattle can not from a air brush. But Ismael's work speaks volumes for itself.

Hey ya'll To quote a line from Monty Python "I ain't dead yet" everything on this tricky little bugger is in primer, got my fit and finish issues worked out and I'm about to actually start the fun stuff. I have pretty much purchased every enhancement kit that has popped up since ZoomOn released their run of 50 er 51😉 of the trans kit. Like I stated before being 51 of 50 kits released, you have issues with a lot of fitting, sizing, clarity and crispness of parts. Pictures help, I now know that more than anything, things changed BIG TIME in the 20+ years I was away. I once took great pictures with my little Nikon em FILM (what the he** is that) SLR camera. I now take not so good photos from my Samsung phone. I kinda was Rip Van Winkle. MUSIC became my 100% passion again. Anyhow back at doing some gluin' and throwin' putty again. I just need to keep pushing and see what happens. Okay I'm out, and, and, if I can, if I CAN, once I get some painting done I'll give pictures a shot again. PLEASE STAY TUNED

One more thing not terribly relevant in the grand scheme but I do like this idea personally instead of messin around with every chrome paint out there.......I'm going to shoot my wheels (white resin) with a combination of gray primer and Molotow chrome ink. I like this....just enough chromi-ness for a realistic wheel look.

Bill,
Sounds like you're back in the model building business. The Transkit sounds very interesting, as it's something I've shied away from both from cost and my lack of confidence in actually getting the parts glued properly in place. I'm a little confused when you said about the resin wheels. Are you priming them, then using Molotow chrome marker to paint the entire wheel? If so, what size tip for the marker? I bought one that was 2mm and had issues applying the silver ink to a large area, but it worked fine on small detail parts.
Looking forward to your pictures.

Joel I tried the refill of the chrome through my airbrush the results are pretty amazing and with an alcohol clean-up makes it pretty nice the whole way round. I bought my Refill through www.spraygunner.com best price I had found.

Hey Joel I dont actually have any markers just the refill tube. So as far as actually trying to refill a marker can't help you on that one. But markers are in my future.

Bill, I have a Ultra fine Chrome Silver paint marker that has one BB inside to keep the paint mixed. Still works like the day I 1st bought it. Expensive, but worth every penny. I'm going to buy a few more colors including flat and gloss Black for detail work.

Just a pleasant little "Cruze" through the German countryside, I would guess probably a Sunday cruise by the looks of it. Obviously not my project but, I love this photo Its been a REALLY long time since a "tin top" has captured my attention like this. That and the fact there are live YouTube videos of him, Coronel, wringing it out so to speak like this. I really can't find out much about Mr. Coronel, he seems like a very jolly guy, I don't know a lot about his skill as a driver but is seems every video I have seen there is some sort of incident, BUT, here again that seems to be the norm for this style of racing. All of my body work is finished and cleaned up, I might spray the yellow this weekend, just about everything connected with this trans-kit has either been primered or its in paint. I have been working very diligently and patiently on this. My updates for the most part are extremely few and far between. But I am starting to see that tiny spec down the tunnel. Soon I promise I will attempt some sort of photo record

Bill, Looking forward to your update with pictures.
I gotta admit that the DHL paint scheme is really eye catching.

Is it for the Cruze? Look on Spot Model in the spare parts section they did have the kit broken down into individual trees etc for sale.. or try the kit Manufacturer, lmk if you need help with that...Chris

Thank you Chris I tried those options. I also inquired into one that was listed not to long ago in the for sale section. I must be nuts our budget is very shaky.
