Hello! While a small comeback after 6 months, I can say I'm back at this. So I bought a brand new diecast only to steal the mirrors. In the left you can see the unmodified passenger side mirror and on the right you can see the modified driver's side mirror and door. There are about 2 hours work into that mirror. You can also see how much better the hood gap is at the front now. Next: Modify the left one, a final prep sanding and COLOR!!!!! Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, As far as I'm concerned, anything that gets you back to building and to our forum is A OK with me. Looking forward to you working your magic on the Viper.

Hello,
No pics today but the mirrors are done and the last bit of bodywork in the hood was done. Doing a final inspection, but I think bodywork is DONE! If so, this project will be given the OK to proceed to final primer prep and COLOR!
Thanks, Ismael

Hello, Primer sanded down. A few high spots but nothing major. Most importantly, NO MORE BODYWORK! Next: A final coat of primer, polish it (yes, I polish the primer) and then color. Thanks,

Ismael, Boy does that body look good in it's primer coat. To say I'm impressed is a huge understatement for sure.

Hello, First 2 coats of paint. A mist and a medium coat. Tomorrow (or whenever I get a chance) I'll do a wet coat. Did not take a picture of it but the final coat of primer was white which was sanded down and polished. For a moment I was tempted to leave it white and clear over the primer. It was that good. Scientific reason for using white as last primer coat? I ran out of grey primer As a dumb moment, I just realized I ordered a 1oz bottle of this paint, instead of the regular 2 oz. So it is a one shot deal. No room for error. Already halfway thru the bottle. DOH! Thanks, Ismael

Hello, I was finally able to start clearcoating this thing. First light coat of clear and already hard to photograph due to the shine More coats will follow before letting it rest, before polishing the heck out of it. Should be done in less than 10 more years Thanks, Ismael
