Hello,
A while ago somebody asked about my seatbelts and buckles. The truth is: I'm cheap! Yes, photoetch are better but they are expensive and usually you can barely see them anyways. So if the belts I'm doing are going to be hard to see, I do my own buckles from styrene and belts from masking tape. The whole process takes about 3 minutes so I did a short timelapse video. Hope this helps seeing how I do it. At the end it needs to be painted etc. Of course there are many ways to skin a cat. This is by no means the only or even the best way to do this.
Thanks, Ismael

Great minds must think alike! That’s how I’ve been making mine! I’m way too cheap to spend $7-8/seat on aftermarket belts. Edit: I forgot to mention, I use a Waldron punch set to make the round cam lock part of the buckles. Ben
