Seb was robbed of a well deserved win. To those who did not watch the F1 race you need to check it out. I understand the rules and all but that looked a lot like a racing incident. Let them race. Could Lewis have passed for the win? We’ll never know. Just another example of what’s wrong with F1. It’s was good to see the respect Seb and Lewis showed on the podium.

Officials made a poor decision in my opinion. I think F1 has become over regulated. If the same incident had occurred in other racing series, it would have been called 'a great save'.

I watched the race, and then what seems like a million replays, as well as on Autosport.com. Heard and saw every so called expert state their point of view. I thought and still do that the 5 sec. penalty assessment was the wrong. Of course the official position is that after watching it in super slow motion replay frame by frame, the officials determined that Vettel had sufficient control of the car to not have moved directly into the racing line, almost taking out Hamilton, who backed out and let Vettel have the line.
Honestly, this is pure crap for several reasons. 1st and foremost is the fact that it didn't happen in super slow motion but at full speed, where lightning fast reactions were needed just to keep the car going in a straight line back on the track without using the brakes, which he did. 3rd, the very limited run off area in turn 3 is grass!!, not asphalt or gravel. The grass is like hitting ice or at the min water. The driver has nearly zero control. For Vettel to have kept the car from spinning and hitting the inside wall was amazing in itself. He did the only thing he could do in a split second. Hamilton assessed the situation and backed out as he knew where Vettel's car was going.
The behind the scenes issue is that they had assessed this penalty for a similar situation and mandated that they needed to be consistent. As I already said, what one can assess in slow motion is quite different from the actual circumstances. It's my contention that both drivers did the right thing and that Hamilton was still positioned in 2nd place, but right on the tail of Vettel.
F1 is so over regulated, that even when we as fans, finally got to see a F1 race that actually had exciting up front racing, the officials and governing body found a way to screw it up big time.
Hamilton was asked after the race if he could have caught & passed Vettel, he replied that at the later stages of the race, just staying up with him was the best he could do.
