A just for fun comparison of flat - 12's
Ferrari on left, ALFA Romeo on right
I have a fondness for Italian cars, lol. And bikes.

I like engines! My favorite part of each build is constructing the "lump' as Steve Matchett prefers to call them.

Thanks for the comparison photos... is the Ferrari engine really a Ferrari or was it made by Fiat? I don't know what year that occurred... but you can certainly see the different lined of thinking as to suspension, brakes, exhausts, etx.
Very cool!

Its the Ferrari 015.
3 litre flat 12 boxer of 312B, T, T2/3/4/5 fame. The ALFA is from the '78 Brabham. Neither of them are really true "boxer" engines, people just call them that. They're actually 180 degree V-12's.
But nothing else ever sounded like them since! Those were the days.

Sometimes I think I should just do the engines and powertrain and skip the car. Just like a 1:1 car builder I have a few projects where I've completed the engine and chassis and stall out on finishing the body. I still enjoy having the project on my shelf however.
