WANTED:
Full set (fronts and rears) tires for 1/12th Tamiya Ferrari 641/2 kit #12027.
A friend of mine online purchased the kit for $200 only to discover three of the four tires were "mushy and soft" and look like they are disintegrating. He would like to replace them.
Tamiya no longer has replacement parts for this kit and the online sellers are making a mint for replacements.
Anyone got a spare set they can part with for a reasonable price?
Thanks in advance!

If you don’t find any you could have some made from resin. Just a thought.

contact Derek and IAM < Icon Auto Miniature, he makes many replacements m< particularly Rain tires in 1/12 . a quality product at a reasonable price. Most 1/12 tire are not cheap but Derek's prices are pretty good. if you dont see what he wants ASK !! www.iconautomotiveminiatures.com/ I have done business with him for years so he can be trusted.... I think that is part of his plan or a set of 3-d printed but I think both of those will lack the texture of real rubber, don't you?

I have seen Derek's tires and they are better than kit tires, I also have bought 1/12 trees and parts from a couple of Ebay vendors Scotharv1 I believe is one. When I do my Wolf WR-1 I have many extra parts trees inc. a 2 complete engines 1 Metal from Thunder Valley F-1 and a full Photo etch set from Scale Motorsports. A RB Motion DFV detail set and a Perfect Parts detail set I picked up at a swap meet.. Good Stuff!!! Lots O Luck on those Tires.. Also note, they used the same set in the McLaren MP4-6 1/12 kit. That guy in Belgium is very expensive for the same products, in case you didnt notice.. Chris

If you don’t find any you could have some made from resin. Just a thought. CC Thanks for asking, Patrick...and thanks for the replies, gentlemen but I think CC is the winner! I've set about casting my own. The fronts look ok because one of the original fronts was still good. The rears, however, need some work. I'm assuming because the tire I used to make the rear mold with was slightly soft..and mushy..and wet...and sticky...it didn't turn out perfect but with a little fill, a little sanding and a lot of patience, it's looking like it just might work. Once I have them done, I'll post some pics.
