Mike_t, When are you planning on starting the build? I sure hope it's sooner then later. I'm just waiting for the aftermarket stuff from Thundervalley F1 to show up. Shouldn't be too long now. I didn't want to get into it too far only to realize I should have used some of his parts first. His package includes a lot of stuff so I just want to make sure I have everything together in one place before I start. Regarding your sim racing adventures, I'm right there with you. Even went so far as to buy a separate computer just for my sim racing setup...but, as you said, interest faded and I don't spend near as much time on it as I once did. Raced in an online league for awhile, tried the iRacing thing, too, but never made it very far and iRacing can get expensive so....I still have my wheel and pedals, may dig it out again some day but who knows.

Mike_t, So your super build will be starting pretty soon. Personally, I can't wait. At least you saved your equipment. I've been tempted to buy a Thrustmaster T300RS-GT wheel and their TP3A pedals. That will set me back close to $500. The top of the line equipment is just insane in price and what's out there. I also upgraded one of my old computers to be a server. Worked great. Actually it worked better then I drove. IRacing is way to expensive from what I've read and seen on You tube. Monthly fees, plus only the basics come with the subscription. All the other cars and tracks you have to buy. But if you stop paying monthly, you loose everything. I was looking more into Assetto Corso, and doing mostly off line racing as the AI is really way better then in the old days. Joel Joel

This is my buddy, Mike from over at ScaleMates! I found this site and then told him about it! He is quite passionate about this build!
As for my 641/2 in 1/12th, it will be going in to the strip bath as first convenient time for new paint and decals. I realized that what I thought was a near perfect paint has two bit "ooops" areas that I had forgotten. And since the decals are yellowing, it might be time for a refurb since I will be doing a lot of Ferrari red over the next several months/years. What's one more swipe with the Italian red?
Welcome, again, Mike!

Thanks, JC and Patrick...I'm hoping to get this 641/2 on the bench soon. Waiting patiently for the aftermarket stuff to be delivered, then it should be full throttle!
