Some other F1 stuff I have built over the last few years. Some are not the best work I've ever done, so be gentle! Senna's Lotus 99t Mansell's F1-89 Senna's MP4/4

Very nice. I built the Lotus 99t as well, my only F1 build.

Something about that yellow... Great builds!👍 Tamiya actually marketed it for a while as "Lotus Yellow". I forget the name now but it is in their line.

Thank you for the compliments, gentlemen.
The LOTUS is Tamiya TS-34 Camel Yellow, straight from the can. When I ordered the car, I ordered the Indycals sheet the same day because I prefer the "CAMEL" sponsor (I prefer doing all my models with "correct" decals) Anyway, when the kit arrived, I opened it and was surprised to find the CAMEL decals in it! I didn't think they would be, that's why I ordered Mike's sheet. So now I have a brand new, untouched Indycals sheet for this car. I also found the sheet for the pit crew on ebay so now I have that as well. Someday, this car will be displayed with the crew.

I built the Lotus 99T a couple of times. The first time, you mixed the Camel Yellow on your own. If I remember the formula, it was 5:1 yellow to orange. The orange gave just a little darker hue to the yellow.
I can't remember to whom I gave that build. I have another on my shelf. I also have the correct camel decals to go on the FW14B.
Good looking stuff!
