Chevy has just released pics of the new C8R and says it will be racing at Le Mans. No word on IMSA series, yet. I hope Tamiya releases a kit of it, but I’d settle for Revell, since they already have the C7R. link

Whatever I may feel about the new rear-engine version as a street machine it really does look great as a race car.

Thanks for posting the pics, JC! I couldn’t get my iPad to cooperate enough to do that. Bernard, you’re right, it does look great! This may be my new favorite race car. Ben

Ben "The C8.R will make its racing debut at the 2020 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, where Corvette Racing will seek to build upon a record of 107 wins, 13 team championships and 12 driver and manufacturer titles since 1999."

I completely missed that when I read the article. Note to self: get stronger reading glasses and increase font size on iPad. Ben

With Jan Magnussen retiring, my buddy Jordan Taylor told me he probably will leave DPi and join the Corvette Racing Team. He has raced with the team in the past and has a strong relationship with GM winning the IMSA Championship for Cadillac and Chevrolet, I think the C8R will be a Whole Lot of Race Car for other teams to deal with.. Yes, 2020 will definitely be an interesting season. That "mystery" engine sure does sound like it has a flat plane crankshaft.
