Hi, my name is Michael Meek. I'm 68 years old and have been building models as long as I can remember. I build race cars, mostly sports cars, and F1. Also unlimited air racers, and aircraft. I'm a member of two bay area clubs. Silicon Valley scale modelers and Fremont Hornets. I'm a fan of all things Trans Am racing and I am currently rebuilding a tube frame GT1 Camaro to club race next year on the west coast. I really enjoy looking at other peoples builds and seeing how they do things. Hope you will let me join in.

Welcome Michael. Settle in and look around. And ask questions, everyone here is friendly and willing to help.

Welcome Michael. Would love to see photos of your 1:1 Camaro project if you would care to share them.

Welcome to the Board, Michael! You and I are contemporaries, I will be 70 in March. We also share in our love for tube frame racers. My partner and I, and a group of pick-up crew, built this tube frame Trans Am-spec Camaro back in the late 80's.

Nice Camaro Oldtimer. I quit running in the early 80's so I don't remember the car. They are fun cars to work on. The Shelby club are a good bunch, I know one or two. Good luck with your Mustang 65slotcar.

M2 welcome to our modeling site. Like Old Timer said, I'm right there with the two of you at 72. I love race car modeling and Sim racing online. I'm not as fast as I use to be, but I still love racing.
