Here is a very interesting article I found while researching the Ford J car ( link at bottom )I was friends with the late Dean Jefferies for quite a long time, about 30 years, and I didnt know he had this car hidden away in his stash of historic race cars. He also owned a Gulf Liveried GT 40 Mk-II that was absolutely stunning. He got several cars from Ford in exchange for his design work he did for them. We had worked together trying to stop Copyright infringement on many of the cars he built, like the Manta Ray. He knew I was quite involved in the model car scene and that is what he asked me to do for him, seek out persons making replicas or infringing by producing resin models of his cars without his permission. Beyond that ,The biggest project was the Monkee Mobile, Barris claimed he built it , when indeed Dean built it, Barris took all the TV credits, Model car sales, and All the Money from the TV show, and more. To this day the lawsuit goes on. Barris would never admit Dean built it. If you watch the old Monkees show check out the credits.. Dean was pissed & sick about it until the day he died. Because I was friends with both of them, I had to watch what I said when visiting them....... RIP Dean Jefferies Chris journal.classiccars.com/2018/12/08/only-gt40-roadster-to-race-at-le-mans-on-kissimmee-auction-docket/

One of my favorite liveries. I have the Monogram Slot car body, so a kit bash is in the future.
