Hi Chris,
Looks awesome! real curious how the Dancing Bear wheels look. Interested in buying them myself, but no idea of the fit or finish in real life. Especially interested in the mounting of the wheels, seems like the same as in the Tamiya-kit, with a screw, am I right? TVF1, AZRM, Acustion or Team Toys options are all sold-out or impossible to find...

AZRM has an awesome set for the 312T4 here is the link www.macsmodeling.com/AZMW%2012006.htm and are in stock, they should be great at $365. dig deep my friend! I noticed most of the other sets for other cars are a little more affordable at $179. Chris ps. Macs is a good source but tend to be a bit on the high price side.

A few people have inquired about them and they a little pricey, but with this particular build money has been no object, I did get carried away a long time ago... so I kept going. I will not be mounting the wheels on the chassis ably because I have put so much time and detail into this, I don’t want to cover it up.

Macs is a good resource for the special part and yes a little on the pricey side. I got my wheels for $250.00

Holy wow! How did you come up with that 6 foot deep shine? Melted glass!? Inquiring minds wanna know... Gravity colors (Spain) 2 coats of color and PPG clear 3 coats. Color sanded 1 coat, polished, applied decals, 3 more coats of clear, color sanded , polished and then waxed. A lot of work, but It came out super, extremely happy with it!

Chris, is the PPG clear lacquer based, and where did you buy it? I'm assuming that it comes in a rattle type can, so did you apply it via the can, or decant it and then air brush it?

Joel I have a good friend with a body shop. I pre arrange with him to use his spray booth. I give him a few $$ for material and his time to use his booth. I only do this when I shoot clear, the rest of the time is in my garage for color. Yes It is lacquer based, I am sure you could buy it in a spray can and decant to use in a air brush. But for me I get a chance to use automotive spray equipment and it’s in a larger controlled environment.

Chris, The results speak for themselves. Honestly, I've seen some great finished on car models, but yours is in a different league.

And I bet you thought I forgot about this little project! I may be the one who comes in last with the completion, but I’m okay with it. I always wanted to stretch my abilities, so.....
I sure hope you like, and thank you for looking Chris

Chris, Holly Mackerel !! Your build just blew me away. The super detailing of an already well detailed engine/transaxle/rear suspension is just mind boggling. Honestly, it just as real as a replica can get. And as for the polished rear wing, as they use to say on the old Sit Com Good Days (?) DYN-O-MITE.
The level of your build is so far past what I can even conjure up in my mind late at night. It's that good my friend, so take your time and keep on your present course. The end results will be more then well worth your efforts and time spent.
