Watching the races in the SF Region/SCCA I always loved seeing Sacramento's Herb Caplan drive his AP 396 and 427 Vettes. As part of my SCCA collection I added his cars... nothing special, but fun builds for me. Patrick

I love 'em, Patrick! Herb Caplan was instrumental in the existence of the car I built, as he purchased the Corvettes for Garner's team in '68 until their sponsorship came through.

Very nice Patrick!
And you got the detail correct of having the stock right seats in them. They were required. The driver's seat could be replaced with whatever one wanted as long as it was safe, the passenger seat had to be there until SCCA went to the GT category rules. Many of the people involved in Vintage sports car racing these days weren't there in the day and demonstrate a great deal of what I call, "Creative Memory".
