Hello, Polished the roof just as a test. Looking good but I'll wait a few more days before continuing with the rest of the car. Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, that's a mile deep shine you've got there.

Hello, That's weird. I've never had much success painting the raised details on 1/24 tires. But these are 1/43, almost half the scale. I was about to give up on this one but after many tries... Thanks, Ismael

I'm surprised you haven't removed the lug nuts yet. 😃

Ismael, Egads!! I can't even read the lettering it's so small, and yet you managed to paint those raised letters. Just how did you accomplish it?

Hi Joel,
I used a small paintbrush and "flattened" the tip. Barely touch the paint and do a quick pass over a paper towel. Similar to dry brush technique but not as dry. Carefully, barely touch the surface several times like drybrushing. Use a fresh #11 blade or a dental pick as "eraser" if the paint gets where you don't want it. Of course all under the magnifying lamp. The paint is craft acrylic. Hope this helps.
Thanks, Ismael

Hello,
BMF in 1/43 is a pain. I think we are very close to final assembly. Crappy cell phone quick video.
Thanks, Ismael

Hello, If you don't find the exact part you need, make it! Start with appropriate size tubing. If you don't have metal (preferred), plastic will do. Cut a piece. Carefully ream from the inside and then sand to the desided angle. Go to town with your choice of paint. Aluminum in my case. Test for a snug fit: Repeat: Get appropriate size craft beads, paint them clear red, install and... TA-DAAHHH!!!! Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, The body looks great in the Vid. And as for the custom tail lights, you nailed it my friend. Getting harder and harder to tell with it's 1/25th or 1/43 scale.

Thanks Joel! I don't have the time but it would be nice to replicate the 1/43 in 1/25 eventually

Hello, And this one is DONE! First of 2024. Custom C2 Corvette based on the AMT 1/43 'Vette Showrod made from 3 junkers. And yes, it is 1/43!!! I'm happy with it but like Enzo Ferrari used to say "My best car will be the next one". What do you think? Thanks for accompanying me in this adventure! Ismael
