Master is the word! My mind was blown by the 3rd page. You are the MAN of models! When I built, I was attempting similar work on a fave line of VW Golfs, a stock racing one from Euro racing and a rally one. But I never could compare to your fabulous detailing. Thank you so much for adding to the hobby and sharing your fine skills and dedication! Bravo!!!!

JC, I've now read through your build blog twice, and it just keeps on getting better and better.

JC, I've now read through your build blog twice, and it just keeps on getting better and better. Joel Thanks Joel. I spent about a year researching the MkI and MkII Escorts before I started the project and in the process assembled quite a library of information on the cars. I was able to convince Fireball Modelworks to help me create a proper set of wheels and tires. That was what I needed to kick off the project. Then spent 2-years trying to replicate as much detail as I could during the build. It sat painted an assembled for another 2-years before I was able, again with the help of a friend to create an excellent accurate decal sheet. It was an enjoyable but borderline obsessive project. I would like to think I have more projects like this in me but I'm not sure.

JC, That's some build story. Just the time researching was long enough, but having to stop after two years into the build to have to stop for another two years to get decals correctly drawn and then printed. But the final results sure seems to me well worth it.
I start to loose concentration and focus on any builds that wander over the 6 month mark max. Of course there's absolutely no comparison to the level of your builds to what I manage to get across the finish line.

JC, You inspire me when I read this WIP. I have a Esci Escort (1800 MK II ?) and I started the engine some years back, as I wanted to build something that was different and I had no idea what that may have been back then. Your WIP gave me lots of idea's and I have moved it up in the stack of coming builds, in fact I ordered the Reji photo etch for it just the other day and I have been looking for a set of decals all along. Mine is a Crystal Esci kit, which really makes no difference to me other than the plastic is a bit more difficult to work with. Thanks for the great WIP.... Chris
