Wish I could help ya Chris, as my reference books generally run out with the '74 Racing Season. That's one Obscure Car you've got there! Suprised Sellers can't help! Too bad the Driver passed a couple of years ago.

Lance did help with the base resin body and the idea originally came through him. I saw it and said " Hell Yes" Chris

Looks like and Indy car with full side pod panels. That's because that is exactly what it was!

This is actually based on a 1981 PC-9B that I worked on at Penske Racing. I have quite a few photos from 1981, but none of it as a Can-Am car.

This pic was sent to me by Walt, who worked at Penske also, this Penske factory car was based on the PC8 my guess is they saw they end coming before they actually built it!!!!

I don't know if this will work Chuck, I see that you worked on race cars that I was acquainted with the driver of. I got to know Rick Mears through Tech inspecting his race cars for offroad racing. Nice guy and one of the best natural talents at driving I've ever observed. Sorry I can't help with pics of the Can Am versions though Chris. Some interesting cars were involved in both Can Am II and Can Am III. But it just was NOT the same as the original deal.

Chris
Are you still interested in the Can Am PC9.
I may have the body panels in my possesion Saturday and can get you pics and dimensions on just the body panels.
I kidded Walt that he has seen this body for the last 6 years but did not have any idea what they went to. They are at Can Am Cars LTD.
