Very nice detail work Rob!! Do you find the detail work on airplanes relates to Automotive subjects? I have not been able to use many detail techniques from automotive on the few planes I have tried to build!! I am looking forward to seeing the end result on this WIP... Chris

Not much transfers. I think cars with the open engine bays, larger and more visible interiors, and exposed suspensions offer the greater challenge.

I have managed to get some paint on the body. The masking pulled up a some of the blue so I need to do some touch up then clear and decals.

Thanks guys. I took up a recommendation from Art and tried Scalefinshes paints for the blue and orange. It is excellent paint that sprays beautifully, dries fast, and has great color density. I'm using an aftermarket decal sheet. The orange stripes and arrow are on the sheet, but the decals are ALPS printed and the orange is so pixelated as to be unusable so I masked and painted them.

Great choice of paint scheme. Lots of folk choose the standard stripe down the middle, but going for the 908 arrow on the side is a wonderful way to do it differently.

Beautiful work on the chassis! Sorry I'm not a fan of the Gulf livery on the Ferrari. I did see the photo of the real Challenge car. Have loved the Challenge cars since the 348s. Oh, and your aircraft is superb!

Thanks. I agree that the Gulf colors are probably more appropriate for Porsches, GT40s, and Aston Martins.
