German F1 Grand Prix 1959 I believe the 1959 German GP at Avus was also the same race that Jean Behra fatally crashed his Porsche on , well and off the banking .. video www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe7I2GyE55U Chris

Not much of a track - 2 long straights with a hairpin at one end and that horrible carousel at the other.

The DTM series has a track, also in Germany that is very similar, quite a drag race between corners. Usually on TV every year some fun to watch these Modern Race cars on this type of track!!

Rookie Johnny Benson pits under green at the Brickyard 400 in 96' ... after leading 70 laps and having the best car in the field when he pitted, only 6 laps later a yellow for debris on the back stretch would wave and effectively end the rookie's day ... and his shot at glory.

I looked up the race on Wiki, 1964 Dutch GP. #18 Clark-Lotus, #6 G.Hill-BRM, #16 Gurney-Brabham, #20 Arundell-Lotus, #2 Surtees-Ferrari Followed by 2 Coopers and Richie Ginther I would presume. Coopers would be McLaren for sure and Phil Hill?
