This is a gathering of various parts that I have collected to build this BT16A Formula 3 car. A "Frankenstein" sorta. Anyone that knows me knows how much I love these Heller kits. It has been a fun ride!! Patrick

Beautiful build. I have some pictures I took in the paddock at Riverside in the late 60s to early 70s of an SCCA Formula B (~ FIA Formula 2) Brabham and a Formula C (~ Formula 3) Lotus with the same Cosworth Ford engine with 1 barrel of the Weber not used. It would be way late for this build, but I have those pics I could upload if anyone is interested.
Those tires are quite different from the Heller ones that Phillipe de Lespinay designed the kit with. What is their source?

Very nice Patrick. I have seen the (1) barrel of the Weber blanked off before like Richard mentions above just can't recall what car it was at the moment.

Many of the Brabham F3 cars ran with the Ford 1,000 cc MAE engine. Of course the engine was in Merlyns, Chevrons, Loti, ect. Dusty, the tires are a set from the Hasegawa Honda F1 kit. They are more for F2 cars , but better than the kit ones I think. Here's the Brabham family of mine... there are F2 and F3 cars with engines ranging from a Honda, Lotus Twin-cam, and 109E Fords of various enhancements. Patrick

Beautiful Patrick! That's about 3 times as many of those kits as I've seen in my life. And one of the ones I've seen is my own.

I have enjoyed building these and the Matras. Certainly my most fun builds!
