For somebody building a short track 'Cuda similar to JC's car here, one of the Warren Stewart Dart/Bill Cushman Duster kits would provide a chassis with the right wheelbase.
For those who have a computer plotter cutter like the Silhouette Cameo 3 that Micro Mark sells for about $250, cutting out those decals per the drawings for the Cushman Ohio National Guard sponsorship graphics in Bill Coulter's article would be relatively EZ. Not one in my household though. I'm not sure if the re-issues of those kits have full decals like that either.
There ARE aftermarket dirt track tires available. These cars also raced on pavement short tracks, so dirt track tires are not necessary.
Like I showed above, the Kit Car kit engine is rather closer to a V6 in block and head length. But a 340 from a '71 Duster kit would be great. However, AS I said above, I've never heard any complaints about the engine until I was going to put one in a '67 Dart.
