Thanks Slim & Gary. Wheel detailing: spayed the fronts with Tamiya Smoke to tone them down, spayed the rear outer rim with Tamiya Silver Leaf and detailed the lug nuts.

Of course a gasser wouldn’t run a stock fuel tank. However I wanted to add a filler cap at the rear for additional interest.

I an Really liking this WIP, I made a name for myself building 1/25 Drag Cars in the 90's in So Cal and this is something I would build. Beautiful work, great detail.... Build On!! Chris

That Profile shot is killer. That's the kind of stance(sit) that looks good. The Gassers that have their butt dragging the ground and the Nose so high in the air that you have to cut a hole in the floor to see where the heck your going...is what turned me off about the Gasser class. I really like the color you're going with too JC. Man...I'm liking this one real well...

Still some detail work to do but here is final paint. I sanded everything back to get a sun beaten look with a few subtle thin spots.

I really like the color too. It has a nice 60s look to it. I live across the street from a reservoir and water treatment plant. One of the employees has a mint dark blue 62 Falcon that he occasionally drives to work. I owned a 63 Futura with a 260 and three on the tree. It was a fun car, but was pretty worn out when I got it. I've always had a soft spot for the early Falcons.

Pretty cool. Re the color, my '61 Falcon (1/1 scale) came in Algiers Bronze. I plan to re-paint it garden turquoise. But I rather like this aquamarine.

OK, Falcon it. '61 Falcon Ranch Wagon (Cattle brands embossed in upholstery). 1-Owner car. My grandfather bought it new and the California DMV considers it still in the same family, and thus 1-owner. 170in I-6 that I installed in 1971. '68 Mustang C4 trans that I installed in 1995 to replace the original 3speed manual. Paint by Earl Scheib (I have the receipt for $29.95). Repainted from original Algiers Bronze. Many folks have pleaded with me to leave its patina instead of my plan to paint it Garden Turquoise. Wheels on it are early Toyota Celica 14 x 6. I have Mustang bucket seats, Granada disc brakes, 8.8" rear axle and a 302 engine for it. Parked next to my '61 F100, Starlight Blue, with a 428 Cobra Jet, C6 trans, slot mags and a crank-up camper by Tuk-A-Way.

Looks pretty straight and unmolested in the photos, thanks for sharing.

Your panel lines/gaps are these the original kit set ones or did you "crisp" them up a bit?
