I've wondered about those kits. Does the model represent a real car or a what if. Nice work either way.

Penske had a GS Roadster, #10, but the "replica or restoration" that exists now differs in a few significant ways, lower windscreen, fairing behind driver's head, louvered hood. Not sure if this model is an accurate earlier version or not. I suspect it's as close as Testors could get with existing tooling. There was a white roadster, #12, driven by George Wintersteen that also had, at least in pics I've found, the same low windscreen and either solid or louvered hood.

For the price these are damned good. Even though a few details may be incorrect for the car depicted. This particular GS Vette was mentioned just very recently in the piece on Driver Doug Hooper passing away, as he restored the car around 1990 and drove it in Vintage events many times.
I have one of the white GS coupes, number 67. Again, pretty decent for what it is. I also have a Testors 1/43 Willys gasser that sits next to the GS.
