Thanks Shayne. Rules of the day required the battery to be installed within the same compartment as it came from the factory. You could alter the position within the compartment but could not relocate it to another (from the engine bay to the trunk for instance). AAR chose to lower the battery location as much as possible, note the location in the lower right hand corner. Some cutting, grinding and a few choice words finally got the battery, radiator and engine to coexist in this lowered position.

I used the old Cady decals on my unfinished AAR Barracuda... The MRRN article was very helpful. Patrick

O Jeeeeze , that Photo really brings back a certain memory, I was sitting on he fender of the 42 Cuda talking to Dan , the engine was sitting on a pallet awaiting installation ..... We were talking about how Dan, although he liked the Cuda , was not a big Mopar fan!! He told me he took on the program in order to develop a stock block for Indy ! .. that relationship would not last a long time...I was 14 then and spent so much time at AAR.. Chris

Leave it to my Baby Bro to come up with the best memories!! As to why I didn't finish it...I got tired of TransAm cars. Formulas are closest to my heart.
