Anxious to see what you do with this kit Gary. I've contemplated a similar build but have gotten around to taking it on.

www.zakspeed.de/engineering/ look at this pic on the Zakspeed site scroll to development..I am not sure if it is the Capri though. I had a huge file on the Capri let me see if it still exists, but this is a pretty tasty race car without the skin... Chris

Thanks for checking in JC and Rob... I've got more done and will post pics soon..
Hey Chris...LOL....First off...thank you very much for the link. It really helps. Also...you and I have just about the same pics! I did see a few chassis pics that I didn't have. I hope you don't mind if I saved them into my Capri Chassis folder. I found a few digital(?) pics of the bare chassis that was on the web and saved them. That really helped with the rollcage bar work.
I do have ALL the bar work finished. At least as much as I'm going to do on this build. I will post pics in the next update. The next Capri I do will be full detail and I'll add a lot more stuff...Thanks again Chris for the help on the pics..

My Fotki albums were created with the Idea that it might be easier for Builders, specifically Members to go there first and find those rare photos that fit their build needs instead of spending a lot of time searching the web and ahve more time to build. I had recently lost about 40,000 photos from my files before I had time to transfer them there. I try to spend about an hour every morning while I have my coffee researching many subjects. So they are always there for anyone's use. Enjoy!! Chris

I made this cage so it will lift out for painting. I want to do the cage a little different color than the interior and it makes adding things easier when the cage isn't in the way. Excellent work, by the way.
Being new here, I don't know your background, but as a fellow modeler who works with vehicles with roll cages (as well as having raced three real one's with roll cages), not having to either stick little fat fingers or squeeze your entire body over around and through a cage does simplify things just a bit.

Did you make the dead pedal Gary or is it in the kit?

Thanks for the compliments folks...
Jc & Chris...the middle pedals are out of an Indycar kit that I trimmed up. The gas and rest your foot pedal are fabbed out of evergreen angle.
I've got a little more done on this bad boy and will post pics when there's more finished. I'm real close to shooting primer and color.
