Well folks...Slim Louis inspired me to get to some of the road course cars that I've had on the back burner for a few yrs. I decided to build the Jagermeister Zakspeed Ford Capri using the Tamiya Mampe Capri for the build. It is fairly simple as far as parts count goes but...well engineered and up to the Tamiya molding standards. The kit roll cage is only half there. Soo..I want to put as much bar work in the green house as possible. Finding interior Pictures of the cage area was a pretty good challenge. I finally found some on line a few days ago. I had alredy started building the front part of the missing cage when I discoverd the rest of the story. Now...I'm going to add the Door bars along with another support bar from the right front upright to the bar just under the dash. Here are a few pics of the work I've got done to this point.

A beautiful build. I just acquired the Tamiya Ford Zakspeed Turbo Capri 1981 Champion kit. In checking on-line pics of the real vehicle it appears there is some detail to add to the right side interior. And all the kit provides is some sort of drum or cylinder - but you did not put anything on the right side; not even the kit provided cylinder (can you tell I'm not a car guy?). Should I leave the right side bare? I do plan on adding the missing roll bars and maybe some of the wiring that can be seen behind the dashboard. I want to keep the detailing to a minimum, but I can't leave the right side bare if it was not in real life.
This kit is pretty old. It does not seem there is anything available as far as AM anymore. I'd like to add the seat belts at least. And I suppose I scratch the pedals.
I usually build military vehicles. This is the first attempt to do a car build. I love race cars. If this turns out ok I am going to step up to a Le Mans car of some sort. I want to weather it to as it crossed the finish line. I love that look.

Man...I just noticed this new reply....sorry for the late answer....Thanks for stopping in and commenting marmerockstar. In all the reference material that I could fined on the net...I didn't see anything that resembled that goofy cylinder. There were a few cars that had quit a lot of "STUFF" on the passenger side area but...I decided to leave it clean.
