Here's a body update.... The white paint is on and waiting to gas out at lease a week before I tape off for the RED. Also...there needs a little touch up here and there on the white. Actually.... I need to shoot more white on the inside of the side panels along the top edge. The side panels are attached to the top of the tub and are removable with the top for ease of touch up. Here are a few pics of the progress.... Test fit..still in primer... White shot on and in mockup.... Thanks for stopping in and looking folks!!!

Smooth & glossy! Can't wait to see the color go on! Brian LOL....thanks Brian. What color ever do you mean? I'm thinking the RED...Yea?...Yes...I really want that to go on real soon. I'm waiting for some tape supplies to arrive( I ordered some 1mm wide thin tape) to do the leading edge of the red. I've already got the wing shot in the red and it really pops against the white. Hopefully this will be finished real soon...(meaning maybe a week or so...)

Thanks for stopping in and commenting folks. I'm working on the white touch ups and getting the front suspension done today. As soon as the new supplies arrive...I'll get that red shot on there....

The paint really shows the amount of work you have put in this, I found the Transkit? for the PC-6 to PC-7 with the magazine article and the pre-cut styrene plastic really just a dozen flat pieces of plastic that make up the conversion. I forgot I even had it but when I moved 6 years ago I stuck it in a binder with shipping invoices? and went to toss them out but good thing I looked through them first, I will see if will scan and share the article...of course this, after all your work!! LoL..Chris

LoL..Chris Hey Chris.....thanks for the compliment. I have that article that was in FineScale Modeler by Bill Gebhard. JC sent me a copy (if I remember correctly) when I first started this build. The article stated that the plans were in 25th scale and their not. And...it's not as simple as the article leads one to believe. Getting correct measurements is the key for ALL the panels of the side pods. The way he did it in the article was to use the PC-6 tub and just add flat stock to get the PC-7 shape. The shapes in the article did help some what though. Not the way I wanted to build it. Sooo...I went the way I did. Thanks for the Info though. ..

I will agree that this is a incomplete conversion but I guess if you are not picky, like most of us are, one could get a fairly good replica built.. Chris

Who did the conversion Chris? It probably would've saved a minute or two if the side panels were in scale. But...I didn't want to just GLUE them on the PC-6 chassis and call it good. Also...that's the article I was talking about too.

Hello Juanjo...Thank you for looking in and commenting. The primer is Alclad Grey and the white is Plasticote automotive touch up paint. The Red I'm using is Krylon Fusion RED Pepper/safety Red.
