This could be a good thing. There's even one that gets raced in Vintage sedan races. So if they're doing the stock wheelbase version, rather than the later altered wheelbase version it could be used for just such a car. I like them for drag racing too. It's a very similar chassis to a Falcon. (and thus to a Mustang). The chassis should be the same as the '64 Revell Thunderbolt.

It is a stock wheel base A/FX representing the actual car that was run at the time, rather than the restored altered wheelbase/straight axle version that exists today.

I've been aware of that stock version for a little while. But when you go throwing that A/FX term around these days, most everybody seems to forget...or more likely...to not have a clue...that automatically = "altered wheelbase". Before altered wheelbases became the norm for "Factory Experimental" class racing, they were all stock wheelbase cars. But as you stated, the "real car" has been modified into an altered wheelbase car. I haven't paid enough attention to know if that conversion was back in the day, or if it was a recent "restoration" like I ranted about on another thread. But the question of whether or not the kit is AWB DOES come to my mind which is why I brought the question up in the 1st place.

it is the stock wheelbase version with a slightly larger rear wheel arch. i have both and have compared them side by side etc. the lower rocker trim is absent also. very nice kit so far .
