Thanks Cameron and Rob for your kind comments. There are some really good modelers here at Motorsport and some really cool subjects. Along with some great tips. I really just don't get the time to post all that often here. You would never know that I am retired, I feel like I do more work now then when I was working, I'm just not getting the pay! LOL! Some good advice, don't ever retire! LOL! Jim I love this car Jim .. 'Lolita' as Emerson called her, and possibly my favorite Indy Car body of all time - and you are doing it justice my friend that is for sure. keep up the good work!

I was finally able to get the modified transmission and kit suspension together along with the rear wing mount and rear wing. I did not complete the engine as a finished engine. It wouldn’t fit under all that resin. However, I did add as much detail towards the rear as possible for filler. I added a wash finish to as much as I could to add some depth. As you can see when the under tray with the transmission and suspension are put under the body there is not much left to see. When the rear wing and support are added, that will cut down what can be viewed even more. I didn’t mount the wing on the transmission yet. If you haven’t guessed yet, I’m really good a knocking things off!!! Jim

Good call on the engine. Everything looks really good! That was an epic race by the way.

It's a shame more of your exhaust system isn't going to be visible on the finished model - it looks great.

Jim, Just enough details showing to fool any viewer's eye. And once you added the wing, WOW !! I'm just blown away.

I have somehow missed this build until now. WOW!!! Your work on the resin is impressive and the paint and decals are downright amazing!

I just wanted to say that you have caught on to what I like to do. Much of what I learned in modeling was when I was competitive in IPMS building 1/72 scale aircraft. One good old modeler once taught me that you can't fit everything into those 1/72 scale cockpits. What you have to do is create the illusion that everything is in there. Much of that can be done by painting, doing washes and dry brushing, which creates depth and feeling. Figure and armor modelers are really good at that! Much of the same is being done with what we're trying to achieve here. There isn't a whole lot to work with, but what we have we can accent it and make it look like there's much more there.

Jim, Being an old time IMPS aircraft contest modeler, I can attest to what you've said to the letter.
