Okay, so Dodge (actually Chrysler) dropped out of road racing following the 1970 Trans Am season. Let's say I am a die hard/died in the wool/never say die Dodge road racer. In the tradition of Jerry Titus and the Grey Ghost '64 Pontiac Tempest Trans Am racer, me and some friends decide to follow the Herb Adams example, and take Momma's grocery-getter to the races. In 1971 (even though the Challenger continued to be produced), we take a Dodge Demon to the shop, and never let it back on the street? What I will be attempting in this project will be to blend the body from an Ertl Dodge Demon to the chassis from an ACME Trans Am Dodge Challenger. The prospects actually look more promising, now that I have learned from my ill-fated '68/'69 Plymouth Barracuda transition project. Going to take a different, less destructive approach this time.
