My drag racing mood continues this time with a '66 Falcon kit bashed with the Revell Shelby Mustang for the chassis, engine, interior etc. Bought this built-up several years back, never painted but the wheel wells were cut and the B pillars removed. Removed the AMT inner fenders and will use the more detailed parts from the Revell kit. Wheel base is close but it will require a little shortening.

I'll do my best to entertain Sam. I sectioned the floor pan ahead of the rear axle approx. 3 mm or 3 scale inches. Shaved the lip off the rear wheel wells and radiused them for the slicks, they still need a little more clearance.

JC, Looks like another one of your classic builds. Your chassis corrections really came out perfect judging from that last picture. Joel

Thanks Joel. Decided to install a dual quad setup. Not aware of a 2-4V setup for a SBF in scale so I modified the intake from the Revell 427 Cobra SC.

Thanks Joel, I really enjoy building engines. Fabricated some simple ladder/traction bars, fitted the grille/bumper cleaned up the wheel wells, removed the chrome trim at the top of the rear fender and the script on the C pillar.

JC, Just one detail at a time really does add up to one very special build. While I'm just glad to get a basically OOB build across the finish line.

The improvements do add up Joel. They also add to the build time but I've learned to be patient and enjoy the build process more and not stress about getting the projects completed.

JC, Words of wisdom for sure. Since my retirement I've been really trying to focus on the enjoyment aspect more then anything else. Enjoying the build is what this hobby is all about, especially since my competition years are long behind me. And of course sharing with you guys. It's really a very big part of the hobby for me. IT was pointed out to me that the steel wheels I was showing come form the '59 El Camino kit. The wheels came form my parts box so I didn't know the source. Can't have Chevy wheels on a Ford! Grabbed a set from the Revell T-bolt kit and they fit the tires perfectly. While I was at it I opened the slots on the front.
