JC, The chassis not only look great, but it looks as one would expect it to look. As for the engine, just enough added detail to fool the viewers eye.
Looking forward to your next update.

Thanks Joel, I didn't go all out on detail in the engine bay or the finished interior.

JC, The level of detail that you've decided on is certainly consistent, so that the effect is certainly greater then the parts. The interior rework is so good, that if you did tell & show me, and only posted the painted picture, I'd swear that's how it was molded. That's how good your work is.

JC. Thats fricking awesome. Chassis looks good. Love the fuel cell and panels that you made. Interior looks good just enought detail to draw your eye. Love the engine. Are you going to add a drive shaft loop? Keep up the good work. ๐

Thanks cc. People have said that to me in the past Joel, that my builds look like kit parts. I take it as a compliment but I think it sometimes works against me at a show. People look at the build and assume the detail all came out of the box.

JC, Good judges will read what you wrote on your entry sheet. If the scratch building looks like a builders handy work, it really works against them with judges. Almost doesn't count. That's one of the reasons why I spent years when I was a aircraft military modeler in IPMS contests just entering Box Stock as the basics had to be perfect. Crappy basics got you tossed in round #1, and whatever details you added didn't count.
Your level of building has perfect basics, needed corrections that are perfectly done, and scratch building looks like it was molded in the kit. That's what makes a winning entry every time.
While I placed a good deal of the time, I rarely won. I always had errors if you looked closely. I'm just not skilled enough to reach the level that you model on. But I try my best, and that's at my age good enough for me. Not trying my best, and worse knowing it is what I consider failure these days. I posted my failure with the Lola T-160 because I needed to for the reasons I stated.

JC Once again an extremely clean, accurate build. You have this ability to match all these different components and have them come together in such a sweet, neat, tidy package. Your stuff is always fun to watch.

Chevy wheels will make it faster... You know Ismael....... you could be on to something here. I just wonder what the "landscape" will be like in the next few years with Chevrolets and Fords decisions about their "auto" production............Its going to be strange.

JC I would just love to rummage around in that "parts" box of yours. It HAS GOT to be one of thee most extensive ones in America. SO many wonderful components coming from there pheew

Thanks Joel. I display my models to share them and as conversation starters. I won an award and if I never win another one that's fine by me. Thanks Bill. My infamous parts box strikes again and provided me with something I could use to simulate brakes at the rear wheels. I stripped the bumpers and painted them Tamiya Silver Leaf after cleaning up the mold seams and re-shaping them a little.

I like this project, a clean build and well presented.
Back in the day, I often thought the Ford Falcon was neglected, but had great potential for the street scene. A mildly built 289 would've worked well, I'm sure. A local Ford dealer sponsored local drag racing teams, and often the dealership garage had guys working on the cars in the evenings. I liked going there to have a look, and to see up close the real team race cars, which were just immaculate.
They had a Falcon too with a nasty small block that ran well and was fun to watch.
I hope you don't mind me rambling on, I'm a new guy, and I like seeing cars I can relate to.
Looking good!
Mick..
