Here is something i am thinking about doing. After doing some sorting of old boxes and having a great throw stuff away while my wife is away. I came across some reference material I had put aside and it made me think why not do it... I should get into it but,our weather is turning here now and seeing I spray in the garage makes it a little hard to get a nice gloss finish. I think the nose cone will give away the car I am thinking of.

I have no guesses as to what it is. Never the less, I think you should do it.

Shunter, At my age I've forgotten more about Indy cars then I actually remember, so I can't place that nose cone for the life of me. But the project looks like you're well on your way. Please continue the build. And let us know what it exactly is.

I keep thinking this the Penske/Senna test car? Looks great anyway! Chris & Shunter, I just couldn't really recall that one test day, so I googled it. Not only did I find the information about the test and why Penske did it, but there was an excellent documentary done on it. Naturally, You Tube has it with Indy Car's blessing. Here's the link: www.indycar.com/News/2017/12/12-20-Senna-1992-test-25th-anniversaryJoel

Thank you Joel I had not seen that video...very cool. Guys I would love to do that one but no the car I’m doing is a more blue and white scheme. I will put a pic up shortly. 😁

Shayne, Excellent choice as I always liked Robby Gordon, whose attitude and focus reminded me a lot of Tony Stewart. The Valvoline sponsorship and colors also has been a favorite of mine. So much so that for the few Indy cars I've bought to date (just started to collect them), one of my 1st planned builds will be the AMT March 88C with Indy Cal decals for Al Unser Jr's 1988 Galles Valvoline March.

Not much of an update but seeing it was so HOT here yesterday reaching 43C in temp I could not resist getting some painting done. I went old school and used enamel paint for the first time in a long time, the Blue Arrows Blue went on well and it was nice to have a smell different to the lacquers and acrylics.

43C?! Good golly, man! I love the heat, can't stand the cold (it's about -2C here in Nova Scotia right now...yuck) but 43?? Wow..that's pretty toasty! I bet that paint dried in 5 minutes! Good choice on the car, too. I always liked Robby. I've been watching him lately on YouTube, running Stadium trucks in Australia. Pretty cool stuff!

Thanks Mike, yeah it’s pretty warm but funny when the next day is literally half that temp. Thanks for your comment and RG is insane in those trucks..

Shayne, The color and gloss shine really looks good. It's been in the 40s F here for that last few days. Down into the mid 30s for the rest of the week, but no snow. So I can't complain.
