2whl, The ignition wiring came out perfect. I guess my wife is right and I'm not the brightest candle on the cake these days, but I'm having trouble figuring out the Porsche ignition wire placement. There are 4 cylinders per bank, and each one has two spark plugs. But when I look at your picture of one bank I'm confused at the plug arrangement: Blk Red/Blk Red/Blk Red/Blk Red How does either of the single ignition wires get from one side to the other based on whether it's the 1st or 4th cylinder?
As for the fuel metering unit, it already has the individual shoes for each hose. I would assume that one really couldn't tell where each one come from or goes to as they most likely are wired in two sets, one for each bank.

Joel, Not sure but I think the spark plugs are in opposite sides of the chamber. So the black one to the left and the next red one are cylinder 1. The next one would be for the next cylinder. I think the plugs may go slightly at an angle, not exactly perpendicular. That may help in the confusion. Here is a restoration pic from the internet: There is an ever so slight angle to it. Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, Thanks, Now that's make a lot of sense. Looking at that picture, then the leds pair up perfectly. Now how stupid am I for not being able to figure that one out?

Oh, I'm lovin it. I'm just too jealous to say anything. Thanks for looking in Paul. I don't know what you're jealous of. I've seen your work and it is first rate Thank you. That was very kind of you to say.
Most of the time I feel I'm way out of my depth with you guys.

Paul, No way. Your work is right up there with the rest of us mortals. Now we do have a few Aliens that put most of us to shame, but then again, that's what they're supposed to do.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm just trying to assemble this kit the best I can. Since my MPHD kicked in, I'm off the Eagle and back to this. Actually, I was not happy with the fuel lines where they went into the injectors. When I tightened up the loops, the lines kinked and would not make a nice arc no matter what I did. Since there is a cover that goes over the top of the injectors and covers the kinks up, I will leave them as is. But I was trying to think of a solution that would work for where the lines go into the injection pump. While talking to some modelling buddies at a recent IPMS contest, they suggested beading wire. So I took a trip to my local Michael's and found this stuff. It goes into the fuel lines and lets me route the fuel lines with no kinks. So armed with the wire, I routed the other end of the fuel lines. 1194

Worked like a charm! Hey! I own the copyright of MPHD! Thanks Ismael. I wish I knew earlier before I did the other end of the fuel lines. I knew I had MPHD years ago, but didn't know the technical term for it I thought I had PKAD......partial kit assembly disorder

2whl, come on that's gotta be a real engine that somehow you shrunk down to 1/12 scale. Just simply amazing.

Hi Paul, I am in awe on this one, your build is coming out just fabulous! Check something called "Tiger Tail" I used to buy it at Joann Fabric, its a braided or twisted steel with a clear coating over it that comes in several diameters I used it a lot for Fuel Injection lines on Drag stuff, I liked it because it doesnt kink at all yet retains some of its stiffness.. Oh Hell just check it , I think its similar to what you have been talking about only a bit more flexible. Ps. the 908 is beyond my favorite Porsche, the development, race history and other models spawned from the 908 is incredible. Should you get tired of this build....You have my address. Chris

Thanks Joel. I posted a picture on Facebook of the bodywork awhile back and one of my friends thought I had a real 908. I had to point out to her that it was only 1/12th Hi Paul, I am in awe on this one, your build is coming out just fabulous! Chris Chris, I have a Joann near me. I'll have to go see if they have any. BTW, thanks for the compliment, but I don't think I'll tire of this one. It's one of my favorite race cars.
