I spun the started kit roulette wheel today and it landed on this build. Actually, I've been waiting for it to warm up and dry out. Since I have to paint in the garage, I try for better conditions. I painted the rear framework with Tamiya AS-12 bare metal silver. 1375

The German philosophy: why use one part when 33 will do nicely.
Nice job, looks real!

Thanks Joel, Paul, and Joe. Since it's raining and the humidity is too high to paint, I decided to fiddle with a bunch of tiny p/e pieces. This throttle linkage was an eye-straining pain. But it means the engine is done and ready to be installed into the frame. 1477

2whl, OMG!! it's amazing. Just add gas, hook up the battery, and it should fire right up. It looks that good, especially with that linkage.

It's this area of any build , whether it be auto or aircraft, that I enjoy the most. These details you're adding are really setting this whole engine build off Paul. Say...….did that return spring come in the kit or is that a light bulb filament? I've been using 3157 light bulb filaments now for about 3 years for throttle return springs and that looks like what this is.

There's not much that MFH doesn't include.

Paul, are you going to drive this thing around when you're finished?
Can I have a ride?

Paul, are you going to drive this thing around when you're finished? Can I have a ride? Paul, I wish I could take it for a ride. I think it would make a fun track day toy. The exhaust got painted flat white and installed. Then the engine and trans were shoe-horned into the frame. 1570

With the engine installed, I'd be willing to be that you found a way to shrink the real deal. It truly looks that good.
Way back, and I mean way back in the very late 1960's, my friend and I drove from Long Island NY to Sebring Florida in of all things my MG Midget which was slightly modified. Lets just say that the two SU carbs were gone as the entire exhaust system including the cast exhaust manifold, and a single side two barrel Webber carb installed along with a tuned exhaust header and system. How we were still talking to each other after that trip just amazed us. Anyway, the highlight of the race was watching Joe Siffert drive his 908/3 Porsche like it was a sprint race. The car was actually hopping going around the corner leading to the pit straight. After all these years, I still remember that site.

Having driven a bug-eye, I have a good insight as to how wild a trip it was.

Paul....I've missed this awesome wip somehow....don't ask me as I can't explain it. Your work on this build is really inspiring for sure. For a 2whl guy you're knocking the heck out of this 4whl build. You're doing this MFH kit justice for sure. Annnd...like you...I like the NO fin car too!! Great work bud!!!
