Joe, Congrats on finally crossing the finish line after a build time of one year. Just the dedication and focus to get there isn't something to take lightly. Anything longer then 3-4 months and my Mojo and Focus really starts to fade fast.
The build is on a whole different level for sure. Every part, every section, every sub assembly has been super detailed, and really looks the part. I'm still blown away at your gear shifter, as well as the full engine build and compartment.
Believe me, I'm really glad that I stayed the course, as the final post's pictures are modeling candy for my eyes.

Excellent! Joe, I'm very pleased to view the finished car. Also, congrats on going to the dark side....you just about threw the kit away and kept the essentials. The rest you made! There you go, no turning back now, you're ruined for life!
Wonderful scratch building and finding new ways and additions, a great treat.
A touch of real metal on our kits and you have a completely new outlook. This is the way forward!
Be proud, and I can easily agree, the best Maverick out there.
Mike..

My mojo was definitely fading at some points which is why I would build something along the way just to actually finish something. Really appreciate your overwhelming comments.

Curious question: did trans brakes replaced line locks or do they both co-exist for things like burnouts? Back in the 60's and 70's my uncles were drag racing heavily. One of them plugged brake lines so only front wheels would brake essentially using the brake pedal as a line lock with powerglides or T400s. cars with transbrakes usually also
have a linelock for burnouts
