Just a quick little update, I did some painting on the side pods and nose piece. And started laying down some decals. Going to need a lot of patience and bring my A game for these! I spent about an hour just putting down 2 😬 definitely not something you rush. Oh by the way it’s been 5 months since I started this kit.

Patrick & Chris, both of your builds are truly outstanding, and show just what even old 1/12 scale models can be elevated to. My biggest issue is that I'm constantly confusing whose model belongs to who. So forgive me if I get it wrong in posts.

He used compression fittings and I didn't. He has correct everything, I have correct somethings

The white inside the intake is not really that tough. Assuming that you have painted the intake white Use a strip of quality masking tape in the width that you want the lip to be.See to it that the tape seam will be under the decal stripe. If you are going to brush paint the inside of the intake do so.If you are going to airbrush the inside just add wider strips of tape over the first ones.Pinch the tape off so no overspray can get out.Should be fine.I usually use water based paints for the insides so that if I screw up I can wash it off and try again Sorry that I can't post phots or would show results.

I usually just admire and occassionly make a comment about the work I see on this site.Never critique as yet but am going to ruin me record to tell you that it appears that the buckles on your shoulder straps are up side down or down side up! Hope you can change that out. Steve

Since Paul (2whl), Chris and I are all flying around doing wingy things, we are all trying different approaches in moving away from the "chrome" wing look. Here is Chris's work with the Molotow through an airbrush... I'm digging this look!

Chris,
Spectacular build! I really hope you finish this in time to bring it to the So Cal Open. It will be a head-turner, for sure.

As someone who stood at the chain link fence inside the garage at Watkins Glen I'll say that this is spot on.
