Are you talking about Andy at Andy's Hobby Headquarters? If so, I love his YT channel. That guy can build anything and make it look great. I recently bought a bunch of paint and supplies from www.scalehobbyist.com/ and I have yet to find anyone that can beat their prices. ... If someone can beat scalehobbyist prices please let me know. They also packed the items very well.. best packing I've seen. Housebound as I am here in Washington State mail order is rapidly becoming a priority. I, too, discovered Scalehobbyist and placed an order which is enroute for delivery tomorrow. Besides exceptional pricing their search engine for their store is second to none in my experience. It made searching and cross referencing a breeze. They appear to carry just about every major and minor line of hobby supplies I could have wanted. I haven;t checked out their kit prices. For the moment I'm well-stocked in that department but your purchases kit-wise have piqued my interest. Yes, I agree their web store experience is also the best I have seen. I hope your total experience is as good as mine. I'm happy to be able to try Mr. Color paints for a great price. Adding the four kits didn't increase the shipping price at all.

And so it begins... ArcticWolf, I tried the AS-12 Bare Metal Silver and it really doesn't look like much. I also did something I NEVER have done previously and that is primer under metal color. I read over on Mediocre Modelers on FaceBook that there are guys who NEVER prime their armored vehicles. Does putting white or grey primer under silver make it pop?

I think the idea behind the AS 12 is that its supposed to look like bare metal. I suppose you could always clear coat it. I use flat clear over the TS 17 a lot to make it look like cast aluminum. I rarely ever prime anything other than the actual body parts.
Nice job on the red and white paint! I've given up on anything except the Tamiya rubber-like stuff for curves when it comes to masking, I'd rather pay the extra than deal with the edge issues I always seem to get. But then I don't do the airbrush base/clears like you guys.

Mine is still factory shrink wrapped in its box, its a few builds down the road. Good to know, it might make life a little easier when the time comes.

I started on sanding the seam lines on the air box so it is a smooth as the rear ducts on the 312B!

Made some progress today but it's all just assembly of parts going on the tub... radiators, oil coolers, steering linkage... lots of little pieces parts that all need painted. So not much to show... but we are going!

So this is a couple of days of work... I might go back and get rid of those ugly seams on the front bulkhead? What do you all think? I don't think it will hinder me as I am doing radiators and oil coolers and can mask those two areas to go back and repaint. I really hate them, to be honest. Guess that answers my own question!

I know that no one will see it but it’s getting puttied today! Spent some time filling a seam on the air box yesterday. Will post photo.
