Looking good, I like that you re did the engine color. By the time you get everything on it, most of the the block is covered. I changed the plug wires because there is too much black hoses and things seem to get lost. I realized that too late! That's why I added a bit of chrome to the one tank on the top next to the oil filter! And I like the blue ignition wire. I may do the same. I really am happier with the cleaner block look... and you are correct. Very little of it is seen! Thanks for the kind words!

So, if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Chris Smith should know I printed the photo of his engine detail to use as a template for mine. Because of his use of compression fittings, his pops a bit more than mine but I am not unhappy with this... We had a discussion here about the exhaust pipes. I know why they are called that... it is exhausting getting the fit and now it is time to disassemble, clean up, and paint. Since they white, what was the actual material on a race car back in 1975? Ceramic? Are they a pure white or a matt white? Anyone know? And quite by accident, I got the Ferrari to pop with a wash... first time that worked for me! Your comments and criticisms are ALWAYS welcome!

I plan on painting mine Tamiya fine white primer only. I figure it'll look like flat VHT white. Same thing I did on the 908. I don't think they had ceramics yet in 1976.

Patrick, Your engine detailing is simply amazing, not to mention you guys get extra Kudos for getting those exhausts to actually fit perfectly. I'm truly amazed. And I struggle with Tamiya V8 exhausts just about every time.

Well, thanks for all the comments but it all went to shit this afternoon. As I was attaching the right rear upright, I discovered I had installed the rear transaxle cover exactly upside down. And in trying to separate that, we had a major malfunction between the engine block and the transaxle box, as in glue separation. All that detailing stayed mostly in place, but there were a few broken parts (the little place with the distributor came loose and a front plate.) Nothing I can't fix... silver lining? I got the rear of the transaxle on correctly. Thunder cloud? On of the support arms (part K10 for those of you following along in your programs) broke at the connector, so I am looking for an aftermarket source of those connectors.
I hate to look oh ebay for just K sprue but it might be easier.
