3 In A Row.....Chris Dodger Stadium, 1963. Z06 in front, Dick Guldstrand next, followed by what appears to be Ben Younglove in his gold coupe (entered as "Neben Evol"...Mom strongly disapproved of car racing and promised to cut him out of the will if he raced), but is probably Bob Bondurant in the Nassau blue Washburn Chevrolet car. An amusing anecdote about Guldstrand's Vette Roadster...He had flipped the car at a race. When it was being repaired and was very nearly ready for the next race, the crew sent Dick to get himself ready while they buttoned things up and loaded the car on the trailer. When Dick next saw the race car, it was at the track. It had a roller skate bolted upside down on the top of the roll bar. He got their joke and raced it that way for quite a long time. I built my AMT 63 Roadster kit as his roadster. My older brother made a master for the windscreen and we formed it on my Vac-U-Form I wish I still had. Unfortunately, the poor Vette was destroyed in the 1971 Sylmar Earthquake. Crushed by a shelf which had previously been full of car models landing on top of it. Regarding the "Animal" above...IIRC, it is on a tube frame. Sort of a home built GS Vette.

So I just looked it up on Racing Sports Cars... #6 - Paul Reinhart Corvette - 5th Place #56 - Dick Guldstrand - 4th Place #614 - Bob Bondurant - 3rd Place
So they swapped places by the end. But all 3 of these Vettes were behind the 2 Cobras of Dave McDonald and Ken Miles. And 2 more Vettes with Ronnie Bucknum in another Z06 and Gary Pickens followed while struggling to barely stay ahead of Jay Hills in his Porsche 356.
