Literally, from the dead. I found this in a plastic grocery bag underneath everything. Why on earth would anyone bother?
My first car was a 63 Sunbeam Alpine. I loved it, unfortunately I wrote it off. So a Tiger is like the holy grail to me, and I did get a few laps around Shannonville in a BP Tiger that I helped on, that was exhilarating to put it mildly. This little project will be a lot of fix-ups and probably won't be pretty, but I'm bored anyway! This is whats left after I took it apart, and then stripped it:
It was a road car, it will be built as a 1965 CASC B/P race car (I hope).
Lots of damage, and dissolving plastic:
Hell, I've fixed real cars that were worse.

Step 1 was to cover the convertible top boot, so I made one to match the steel cover the Alpine came with. Also a lot of welding and re-enforcing of broken plastic. The interior got a coat of period correct industrial grey and test fitted:

It'll never be perfect, and it was inevitable that I'd lose a little detail, but I think it cleaned up pretty good so far

Holly Mackerel, you brought it back from the dead. Looking at the 1st few pictures, I thought that there's no way you make much progress on this. But once you primed the body, Oh My!! was I wrong. What a fantastic bringing it back from the Dead. The body does indeed look like outstanding.

Sooooo cool!!!!!! One of the many kits I had when I was still building was the Sunbeam tiger. I wanted the Alpine kit but even back then it was rare. Luv the old "club" racers. Good luck, looks fine so far!
