Really nice build of a cool old Mercury from back when stock cars still had at least something in common with production cars. I wonder if they still make Pop Kola. Nice detail work.

Very nice, JC! Are tires on this one from the kit?

Very nice, JC! Are tires on this one from the kit? Thanks Art. Yes the tires are from an original MPC kit. They have a very nice tread pattern.

Great job on this "REAL" NASCAR racer. I have always liked how the cars had simple advertising.

The current NASCAR race cars are like the slot cars of the early 70s and the funny cars of the last 25 years and pro-mod drag racers. Totally pointless.

Very good paint and decal work on this one. I like the dirtied up "Good Year" lettering on the tires. Adds a nice touch.

I love this car JC ... very clean solid build indeed ... I think you have inspired me to tackle one of these older Stocks as I love this era ... I definitely want to do an 80's ride this year at some point - resin bodies are available at Mikes.
