Thanks, Shayne! The floor pan required a little planning and quite a few steps. First I had to paint it the color of the car, including the flo red on two little tabs that tuck into the nose in the red section. Then it had to be cleared. After clear, I shot the back half with Tamiys Semi Gloss out of the can. I just love that stuff. I prefer an airbrush, but the results with that color from the can are unbeatable. Then I masked off the exhaust outlets on the top and the bottom and shot them with Testors Metalizer, and a little weathering. I brush-painted the front half interior with Testors Acryl semi gloss. I laid down a Scale Motorsport Carbon Fiber decal on the back half on the top side (available at ScaleProShop.com )I used a second kit to make the patterns for the CF decal. The effect is subtle, but worth the effort. I'm always amazed how well these conform with some Microsol and heat. Then I cut out some Bare Metal Foil for the heat shielding. I tried some staining on the BMF and the exhaust pipes. It looks a little messy because I was trying different things with the airbrush, which I could get away with because very little of it is actually seen.

Art, I'm glad to see you got started on this one. I like your choice of colors on the engine too. Thanks, Rob. Hopefully, I'll have a bit to show by the next TVMC meeting. I am going to need to be pretty far along if I'm going to make it! What is TVHC? Glad to see there are still model clubs!

There is a level of perfection here that is simply beyond me.
And I love the car.

Art, I would be following this build religiously, but I can't see any photos it really sucks because from the commentary it sounds like something special coming together for you...wish I could see it.

TVMC is Temecula Valley Model Club. It's a great monthly gathering in my home town, and Rob makes the trip up from San Diego. Not to be confused with the THC Modelers club, which never seems to get much accomplished.

Adrian, I'm sad you can't see the pictures. They are hosted at Fotki like many members here use, so I'm not sure what could be the trouble. On occasion, though, they do have problems, and they are usually momentary, so maybe next time you look they will show up. Appreciate you dropping in!

They are all armor guys and like automotive very little!
